On November 8, LAPD reserve police officers assisted with Operation School Bell at 186th Street Elementary School in Gardena. Run by the Assistance League of Los Angeles, Operation School Bell provides new school clothing, supplies, backpacks and shoes to elementary-aged children in need.
To the men and women of the LAPD Reserve Corps, as many of you know, in addition to supporting the wide range of daily operations — everything from patrol and special events to training and qualifications — our unit is also responsible for overseeing the current Reserve Academy class.
