This rare photo of the old reserve policeman badge was posted by retired Sergeant Peter Harris in the Vintage LAPD Facebook group (www.facebook.com/groups/106575642752136), featuring Ronald “Dean” Quick, who in 1974 became the first reserve to be awarded the LAPD Medal of Valor.

On February 11, Mission Area presented an award to Reserve Officer Andrews for his commitment and dedication to the division.
