President’s Message — Winter 2025

Greetings from the Office of the President of the Los Angeles Police Reserve Foundation. It has been an adjustment moving forward without Michael Sellars at my side. We all feel his loss deeply, every day. Many of you know that The Rotator was truly his creation and his pride. Michael was passionate about preserving and sharing the history of the Reserve Corps, and he poured his heart into making sure your service and stories were recorded.

The LAPRF is committed to continuing this tradition, but we cannot do it without your help. To keep The Rotator alive, we need your contributions — photos, stories and articles that highlight the actions, accomplishments and spirit of the Corps throughout the year. Please share your submissions with me at kahmanson@laprf.org. Together, we can honor Michael’s legacy and ensure that the proud history of the Reserve Corps continues to be told.

We would also like to extend a very warm welcome to our new Department Reserve Coordinator, Deputy Chief Steve Embrich. Chief Embrich has already proven to be a staunch supporter of the Corps, and we are very happy to have him aboard.
