Saluting Bobby Sherman

Bobby Sherman (July 22, 1943 – June 24, 2025), the 1960s–70s hitmaker behind “Little Woman” and “Julie, Do Ya Love Me,” is remembered in Los Angeles not only for his music and TV roles, but also for his years of service with the LAPD. After stepping away from show business, Sherman became a paramedic and a reserve police officer, training thousands of recruits in first aid and CPR and earning LAPD Reserve Officer of the Year in 1999. His hands-on instruction and volunteer EMT work set a standard for lifesaving skills across the Department and at community events. We honor his legacy of service to both fans and fellow Angelenos.
