Each year the Los Angeles Police Reserve Foundation is honored to recognize select LAPD Reserve Officers for their extraordinary efforts “to protect and to serve” the citizens of Los Angeles above and beyond the call of duty – they will be chosen from each LAPD division. Honorees
Dominic Ng Chairman/CEO of East West BankThe LA Police Reserve Foundation is honored this year to recognize Dominic Ng, Chairman/CEO of East West Bank – LA Business Journal’s Business-Person of the Year. Mr. Ng has a lengthy history of philanthropic endeavors including his impressive leadership as a long-time board member and the first Asian American campaign chair for United Way of Greater Los Angeles which raised a record $66 million; and a lifelong dedication to student academia at the Columbia University, and The University of Houston which honored Dominic and his wife with the dedication of the Dominic and Ellen Ng Academic Center for Excellence.
BALLARD Executive Production team from the new Amazon Studios series
Also being recognized will be the Executive Production team from the new Amazon Studios series BALLARD, an exciting continuation of the ‘Harry Bosch’ universe helmed by Michael Connelly, Trish Hofman, Michael Alaimo, Henrik Bastin, Mitzi Roberts and Kendall Sherwood. This series is based on the LAPD Reserve Corps Cold Case unit, currently wholly staffed by our dedicated volunteer Los Angeles Police Reserve Officers.
