LAPD Reserve Officer Dimitrius “Jim” Tsarofski, pictured here with Assistant Chief Beatrice Girmala, has retired after 21 years of service. He continues serving as a captain in LAFD. Jim writes: “I am a proud Los Angeles police officer and Los Angeles city firefighter. I played for the Rams back in 1984. My life has been loaded with nothing but great teams. I have met many great police officers and firefighters in the time I proudly served both departments. It was a difficult decision to retire my police badge. I will cherish the memories on Patrol for the rest of my life. I want to wish my brothers and sisters on the LAPD reserve team best wishes always. Be safe out there — I’ll miss all of you.”
