With the Sunshine Kids still under national travel restrictions due to COVID-19, this year’s event was different. The LAPD hosted 16 Los Angeles–area kids at the Elysian Park Academy on September 17. Reserve Officer Dave Bush once again took a leadership role organizing the event. He said: “Thank you to all the reserve officers who have supported this event. Without our reserves’ continued support, this event would not be possible and would not be at the level it is. We collectively have made a positive effect on these kids.”
